How You Can Be a Charming Woman

Leaning forward is a more feminine posture.

Being a charming woman involves more than just specific social skills. If you wish to actually be charming in the sense that you are charming as a person, you must improve your feminine traits. The act of improving your feminine side helps you to be charming regardless of the social situation in which you find yourself. Studies regarding the male psychology in terms of mate preferences can tell us exactly what it is about a woman that makes her charming.

Instructions

1. Adapt feminine body language. Research mentioned in the book "Nonverbal Communication" by Peter Anderson has led to results that state clearly which aspects of body language are associated with the feminine and which are associated with the masculine.

   There are many examples, but some easy ones to adapt are leaning forward as opposed to backward when sitting; preening (implicitly displaying your attraction toward someone) by brushing your hair, reapplying makeup or looking at yourself in a mirror; and standing with your toes pointing more inward than outward.

2. Smile often. Not only do men tend to interpret smiles as signs of romantic interest and therefore charming gestures, but men find smiling women more attractive than women who use neutral expressions.

3. Accentuate your feminine features. Use makeup to accentuate your features that are associated with femininity, such as long eyelashes, full lips and high cheekbones. Select attire that shows off your figure.

4. Be a frequent speaker. Whether you are extraverted or introverted, both types of women can have advantages in the dating field. More feminine women speak more words per minute. Ignore the stereotypic submissive image of women from the past and be a frequent talker, contributing to conversations whenever possible.

5. Be kind. Studies by David Buss, author of “Journal of Personality and Social Psychology," have shown that kindness is the number one sought-after personality trait. While many movies and television shows denote rude “alpha females” as being popular with men, in the real world it is the kinder women who are more desirable.
