Get the best deal when shopping online. Save money by comparing prices.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Determine what exactly you want to purchase and when you need it. Know the model number, design, color, etc. Knowing when you need it will help you choose the right shipping option to save the most money.

  2. Step 2

A couple of sites to visit as a resource to help you find the best prices are Epinions.com and Mysimon.com. You can compare prices and check user reviews. Always check to see if there is a FREE SHIPPING option, or NO TAX. This will sometimes save you even more than if you purchase it at a local store (at least saves you money on gas!).

  3. Step 3

Ebates.com is another site you can sign up with that has 100's of merchants that offer a discount or rebate if you make your purchase by clicking the link from the ebates.com site.

Check the Google ad links at the bottom or side of the page that will also provide related links to retailers selling the item. They will typically have a special offer associated with their link.

Check a minimum of 3 to 5 websites to be sure you are getting the best deal.

Once you have determined which site will offer the best price, go for it!

Tips & Warnings
  • There is always a deal out there. You just need to take the time to find it. By doing these few steps to visit a couple of sites, you can save significant money.
  • Sometimes you can find a coupon code for a web retailer by performing a search engine search. Try something like, "Target coupon code". If there is one, there should be at least one site that has the code.
  • Some sites provide merchant reviews. Check to see that the merchant you are purchasing from is reliable and honest. If you don't feel comfortable purchasing from them, then move on to another merchant with a good price.
