A Layered Peppermint Bark

With the holidays coming up it is time for you to learn how to make a favorite of many, Bark. I am giving you an easy and original Bark recipe. It is simple and quick to make.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cookie Sheet
  • Wax Paper (or similar substitute)
  • Saltine Crackers
  • Butter
  • Chocolate
  • Other original ingredients you wish to add.
  1. Step 1

Take your Saltine Crackers and butter each one. Try to put a solid layer like you would on a piece of toast. If you are using stick butter try and estimate how much you would want on the cracker once it melts.

  2. Step 2

On top of the butter put chocolate chips. Make sure you put the same amount of chocolate as you did butter (or more chocolate if you want them extra chocolate).

  3. Step 3

Add any additional toppings you would like. You may just have a chocolate Bark and skip this step. Otherwise, you can add Peppermint (like the Bark shown in the picture), Caramel, Coconut, or any other toppings you have lying around.

  4. Step 4

Put the Bark in the oven at 350 Degrees for about 5 minutes (may be shorter or longer depending on how fast your oven cooks) until you see the toppings melted.

  5. Step 5

After taking them out of the oven, put them on to a dish and freeze for about 15 minutes to make sure the Bark sticks together. Do not serve frozen, let them sit at least 10 minutes before serving.

  • This is not the traditional way to make bark. This is my recipe that I use to make fast and easy bark.
