Climbing the corporate ladder can be very difficult, challenging and stressful, but also fun.

Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A good attitude
  • An open mind
  • A little enthusiasm
  • Some patience
  1. Step 1

Know what it is you want. Having your goals clearly defined and stated will help as you climb the ladder. It's easier to fall back down and get off track if you don't know what you're aiming for.

  2. Step 2

Be willing to work for what you want. If your goal is upper management or even a higher salary, be prepared to put in your time. The title comes with responsibilities that you may not see or even know about. Remember the grass is ALWAYS greener on the other side.

  3. Step 3

Do your research. Know what you're getting into before you get into it. There is nothing like climbing the ladder to find that you've climbed the wrong one.

  4. Step 4

Know (or at least learn) the rules of the game. Each place is different, keep that in mind as you go on your journey.
