How to Use Freecycle.org to find FREE stuff

If you are looking for an extra can of paint, a sink for the downstairs bathroom or plants for the front yard, then you should consider joining Freecycle.org. It is a local community minded organization that swaps items in a community and all of it is free.

Instructions

    • 1

Go to the site freecycle.org and insert your area to find a group near you.

    • 2

Once you have found your group, it is simple to join. Your email is the way to find out all the loot that can be given to you if you join.

    • 3

Emails are sent every time something is posted or a condensed version (depending on your preferences)of what is being given away.

    • 4

The only catch to getting the item for free is you need to contact the person who is posting the item and arrange a time for pick up. AND you need to be the first one.

    • 5

This is great if you are looking to remodel parts of your home or need to find items but can't afford or want to pay top dollar.
