How to Make a Wine Wedding Favor
Wine or champagne bottles are a great favor to send off with your wedding guests. This is a favor that can fit almost any budget and is pretty easy to coordinate. It can also be paired with a host of edible or wine theme wedding favors that your guests will surely enjoy.

1
Decide what type of drink you would like to offer as your wedding favor. The most popular are champagne, white zinfandel, chardonnay and merlot. The price per bottle will vary depending on which you choose so if you have a budget decide on a few and then make a decision based on the quotes you receive.

2
Choose the size of the bottle. You can send home a single serving of wine in a mini bottle for as little as $1.99 per bottle (or even less) or you can give guests a half bottle or regular size bottle.

3
Call your local liquor stores and do an online search for wine bottle wedding favors. Get several quotes. Be sure to ask about cost per bottle, varying sizes, non-alcoholic alternatives, labels (some may give you labels for free), and delivery charges (if delivery is available). Purchasing the bottles from a local liquor store will give you the opportunity to negotiate costs and allow you to quickly pick up more bottles if you suddenly realize you didn't order enough favors.
-
4
Create a label for your bottle. Labels may be included with your order for the wine bottles. However, you may want to purchase blank labels and create ones that fit your theme or even create a label of a photo of the couple. Many wedding sites also sell wine labels that match different wedding themes.

5
Once you receive your wine bottles it is time to apply the labels. Decide where you would like to apply the label. If you place it over the wine label you may be able to see the wine label through the wedding label and you'll have a messy looking favor. Either place it on the other side of the bottle or remove the original wine bottle label before applying your personal label.

Tips & Warnings
Some companies will remove the original wine bottle label for a small charge.
If you purchase wine bottles from a winery they will most likely make personalized labels that will include a combination of the wine bottle label and your wedding information. In this case, you won't have to worry about removing or applying labels.
