Smoothies can be an important part to a healthy diet. They provide lots of vitamins and can help boost your immunity during cold and flu season. Plus they taste great! Learn to make a healthy fruit smoothie in only four easy steps.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

The first step to make a healthy smoothie is to get out your blender and place six ice cubes in it. Add 4 ounces of non fat vanilla yogurt. I recommend using the yogurt brand Yoplait.

  2. Step 2

Now add two tablespoons of honey, 1/2 cup of strawberries, and 1/2 cup of peaches. You can use fresh or frozen. Add chunks of banana to the smoothie now.

  3. Step 3

Put the top on the blender and blend the smoothie for one minute. If you still have chunks of fruit, blend for thirty more seconds.

  4. Step 4

Once the smoothie is completely blended pour the smoothie into a glass and enjoy! For a more refreshing smoothie place the glass in the freezer for fifteen minutes prior to drinking the smoothie. This will make your smoothie even more cool and tasty.

Tips & Warnings
  • Add seasonal fruit to your smoothie. In the summer, blueberries and pineapples are a great choice.
  • This smoothie is vegetarian friendly!
