But you can make your own air freshener and home deodorizer using common household products. Combine 1 cup of water with eight to 10 drops of essential oils. You can use one oil scent or mix and match.

Shake the spray bottle and let it sit for about an hour to fully combine.

Spray the solution as you would any air freshener.

Label the spray bottle with the ingredients if it's a scent you like so you can re-create it later on.

Sprinkle baking soda in a couple of bowls and place strategically around the room. This will deodorize the space. Replace the baking soda about every week.

Tips & Warnings
If you're not sure which essential oils to use, try six drops of bergamot, one drop of eucalyptus and two drops of lemon essential oils.
