If you're seeking good Lake Tahoe entertainment, then look no further than the local parasailing company. Parasailing is one way to enjoy the lake without getting your feet wet. In addition, parasailing is a thrilling adventure that surely beats any other Lake Tahoe entertainment.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Decide what part of Lake Tahoe you want to see from the sky. There are parasailing companies located on North Tahoe and South Tahoe. Parasail over both North Tahoe and South Tahoe if you have the time and money.

  2. Step 2

Contact three companies for North Tahoe adventures including Action Watersports of Tahoe at (530) 544-2942, Captain Kirk's Beach Club at (775) 588-3530 and Ski Run Boat Company at (530) 544-0200.

  3. Step 3

Explore South Tahoe companies by contacting Action Watersports of Tahoe (South Shore) at (775) 831-4386, Kings Beach Aqua Sports at (530) 546-2782 and Lake Tahoe Parasailing at (530) 583-7245.

  4. Step 4

Ask each company about the cost for parasailing. The cost typically increases the higher you want to go. Determine if tandem rides cost more.

  5. Step 5

Inquire about weight and age restrictions for parasailing. Some companies require people under a certain weight or age to go tandem.

  6. Step 6

Find out if family or friends can ride on the boat to observe the person parasailing. Some companies allow this free of charge, while others charge a small fee.

  7. Step 7

Tell the boat operator if you want to stay dry or enjoy a dip in the water. Some people enjoy a brief dip in the water as the perfect cap to their day of Lake Tahoe entertainment.

Tips & Warnings
  • Prepare young children to ride tandem, since many companies have age and weight restrictions for solo rides.
  • Make reservations early if you're parasailing during the busy season at Tahoe. Although there are year round events in Tahoe, the summer season is considered the busiest, which usually runs from July to September.
