How to Write Terms and Conditions for a Blog
If you want to make sure your information on your blog is safe and secure as well as set up some regulations for blog usage, then it might be a good idea to write some terms and conditions. Many people create these documents on their own website or blog to maintain their site's overall value.

1
Do your research. Look around online to see what other people write for their blog terms and conditions. Other people's sites can serve as an example for your own terms and conditions; perhaps you might end up re-writing and expanding on some of the ideas they bring up. It's a common practice to "borrow" other sites' language and then add some of your own to fit your needs.

2
Write down everything you want to state in your terms and conditions. Make sure you write about who owns the blog's copyright and what people can and cannot use from your blog. Also, if you allow people to comment on your blog, state what your restrictions are and if you will edit or ban offensive comments or users.

3
Include information that covers privacy issues, whether you allow commerical use of the material on your blog and if you receive payment for your blog. Expand on any copyright notices related to the blog or limitations based on these copyrights, and whether the trademarks or logos on your blog are owned by you or someone else and if they in turn can be used by visitors of your blog. Add in any limitations of responsibility, if damage occurs because a person views your blog, downloads any files from your blog or visits any external links listed on your blog and outline clearly any prohibited actions visitors must adhere to.
-
4
Add in the media rights usage. Let the media know how they should contact you if they ever want to use any of your writing or pieces of information that you have compiled.
-
5
Have a lawyer look at your terms and conditions. Make sure you've included everything you do and don't allow on your blog and then have a professional look it over to ensure there aren't any loop holes. Although this does require you to pay an attorney, it's better than finding out the hard way that you missed something important.
-
6
Upload the terms and conditions to your blog. Make sure you have them listed at the bottom of your blog or on the left or right side. You can also build a link for the terms and conditions, and then place them on another page linked off the home page so navigators can look at the terms without losing the home page.

Tips & Warnings
Try not to make your terms and conditions longer than one page, if possible.
Never forget to include that the information in your blog is strictly your opinion. That you don't profess to be an expert in any field, the information is for entertainment purposes and in no way should a reader consider it fact without doing their own research.
