How to Make a Pine Cone Turkey for Thanksgiving

These little turkeys are great fun to make and look great as place cards or centerpieces.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Pine cone
  • Acorn
  • Wiggle eyes
  • Red and orange pipe cleaners
  • Glue
  • Bird feathers or construction paper feathers
  • Short, bare tree branch
  1. Step 1

    Cut an orange pipe cleaner in half, fold in half for legs, and twist at the end for feet.

  2. Step 2

    Glue the legs to the pine cone a little less than halfway from the longest end.

  3. Step 3

    Glue the pine cone, legs down, to the tree branch.

  4. Step 4

    Glue the acorn to the small end of the pine cone.

  5. Step 5

    Glue the wiggly eys to the acorn.

  6. Step 6

    Glue the feathers to the large end of the pinecone.

  7. Step 7

    Glue a tiny piece of the red pipe cleaner below the eyes for the waddle.
