How to Paint Christmas Ornaments

Painted Christmas ornaments can be a fun craft for kids or adults. They can even be used as a wedding favor for holiday nuptials. It's also a unique & cheap way to decorate your Christmas tree.

Things You'll Need:

• acrylic craft paint
• paper cup
• clear glass ornaments

1. Gather your supplies. Make sure that you choose glass balls with a removable top. You can purchase these at a craft store, or even the dollar store.

2. Remove the hanger of the ornament. This can usually be done by pressing the wire top together & pulling it out. You should be left with a glass hole that looks like a funnel in the top of the ornament.

3. Choose a color scheme. You can either go for traditional holiday colors, or a crazy color scheme full of bright oranges & pinks. Metallic paint tends to look elegant.

4. Slowly drizzle craft paint into the ornament. You can do this right from the paint bottle. Swirl the ornament around until all of the glass is covered. The colors will run together & create a marble effect.

5. Turn the ornament upside down in a paper cup to dry. This also helps any excess paint to drain out of the ornament. When it's dry replace the hanger.
