Things You'll Need:
- Camera
- A sunny fall day
-
Step 1
backlit peak foliageWatch the weather channel, or check the weather channel website. There are peak foliage times in New England, when the colors of the leaves are at their most brilliant. Usually this peak foliage time last only a couple weeks. You want to plan to go during this time, on a sunny day.
-
Step 2
closeup peak foliageTake a long drive in a wooded area. If you don't live in New England and you are traveling there a visit this fall, the Mass Pike is actually really beautiful, filled with peak foliage, especially in Western Massachusetts.
-
Step 3
colorful peak foliageWhen you find an area you want to explore and appreciate, park, get out of the car, and walk! Go for a nice long walk. Enjoy the crisp air along with the peak foliage. It's not nice and warm like summer, but it's nice in a different way. It's invigorating. But it's not freezing yet. Combine that with the bright sun, shining through the colorful peak foliage, and I guarantee you'll feel renewed! Enjoy.
