Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Exercise
  • Blood Tests
  • Medical Appointments
  1. Step 1

Add in exercise early. Start exercising on a regular basis and eat a sensible diet to boost your overall health.

  2. Step 2

Submit to blood tests. Visit your doctor for the necessary medical tests a month or so before the surgery.

  3. Step 3

Store your blood. You may arrange with the doctor to have some of your own blood drawn and stored for the surgery. This is a great option instead of sourcing from a blood bank.

  4. Step 4

Consume only liquids. Stick to liquid diets for about two days prior to the gastric bypass surgery.

  5. Step 5

Take the final step. Keep away from all edibles twenty-four hours before the surgery.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure to shop for comfortable clothes before leaving for surgery.
