How to Make Tasty Bran Muffins

My kids love these bran muffins and they have no idea that I am sneaking fiber into their diets!

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups All Bran cereal
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup canola oil
  • 12 count muffin pan
  1. Step 1

    Preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Lightly grease the muffin pan.

  2. Step 2

    In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Whisk together. Set aside.

  3. Step 3

    In another large bowl, combine the cereal and milk. Let it sit for 1 to 2 minutes so the cereal will soften.

  4. Step 4

    Add the egg and canola oil to the cereal mixture. Beat well.

  5. Step 5

    Add the flour mixture to the cereal mixture, stirring until combined.

  6. Step 6

    Pour the batter into the muffin cups. Bake for 25 minutes or until lightly browned.

  7. Step 7

    Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • For variation substitute 3 cups of raisin bran cereal for the All Bran cereal.
