get a live operator on the telephone for iTunes

Have you ever tried to find a telephone number for iTunes? I recently had to contact iTunes about a downloading problem and successfully found their "hidden" telephone number. The necessary steps to get a live operator on the telephone are:

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • You need a little patience, but if you follow these steps, you will get a live person.
  1. Step 1

Dial 1-800-275-2273. This is the Apple Care Service and Support Line.

  2. Step 2

When you hear the recorded greeting, enter 70. The recording will most likely reject the entry at first. If so, try again.

  3. Step 3

When prompted to say the product that you need tech support for, say "iTunes."

  4. Step 4

When prompted to say what type of computer you're using, say "a Windows machine" or "Macintosh."

  5. Step 5

When prompted to say whether you're calling on behalf of a school, answer "yes" or "no."

  6. Step 6

Last step.... you will need to state the serial number of your iPod before you can proceed. This will get a live person on the telephone.

Tips & Warnings
  • iTunes operators are available from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Central Time.
