Things You'll Need:
- some extra time
- creativity
-
Step 1
Buy early. The earlier you start the better deals you will get. Most dept stores start clearence sales in July & August. Buy them when they are cheap and then set them back for Christmas. Try stores such as Target, Kmart, Walmart & TJ Max along with others.
-
Step 2
Locate the SALE Racks. They are usally hidden in the back of the store or the back end of an aile. You can find the same items that are on the shelves for full price only cheaper. Most dept stores rotate UPC codes. Which means you get the same items....cheaper!
-
Step 3
Check out your local dollar store. You never know what you will find. Once you remove the price tag noone will ever know it only costs you a dollar.
-
Step 4
Make gift baskets. Buying gift baskets through your local gift shop will cost you near $100 or better. If you are creative, make your own. I go to the dollar store and pick up the items that I need. Most gift baskets only cost $10 to make this way and they are beautiful! Try to make a theme. Example:Put together a basket of pink colored body products or for kids add all items from one animal like a bear or a character like spongebob.
-
Step 5
Check out your local flea market. You can often get department store products for a fraction of the cost.
-
Step 6
Go the local antique store. You will be able o fin great deals on furnture and nicknacks that may only need a little polishing.
