I made these hot wings one night and they turned out to be a huge hit. If you prepare these buffalo wings according to my instructions, NOT the package instructions, you will get a sweet, spicy, and sticky combination of hot wing goodness!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 2 Lbs of Chicken Wings
  • 2 Pkgs of McCormick Buffalo Chicken Seasoning Packets
  • 1 bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's Original BBQ Sauce
  • 1 pinch of cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of sugar
  • 2 Tblsp of Olive Oil
  • 3 Qt Pyrex Baking Dish
  • Foil
  • Plastic bag for shaking your coated wings
  1. Step 1

First you will need to preheat your oven to 400 degrees. This is 50 degrees lower than the package instructions, but you need to do this in order to make sure that your extra hot wing coating will not burn.

  2. Step 2

Then you will open your package of chicken wings and rinse them off (this particular chore may not necessarily apply for everyone, it is probably only a habit of mine).

  3. Step 3

Next, you will need to grab your roll of paper towels and pat the chicken wings as dry as you can get them. (Be careful, not to leave tissue particles behind)

  4. Step 4

Now you will line your glass baking dish with foil, and then lightly drizzle a little olive oil onto the foil lined surface. You are using the foil basically for easy clean up afterward. When your hot wings are done, you can simply lift the foil out of the baking dish so that it will be easier to wash.

  5. Step 5

Next, you will pour one of the seasoning packets into the bag, then place the chicken wings into the bag, and pour the additional packet onto the top of the wings. Add a couple of pinches of cinnamon and sugar to the bag, then give it a vigorous shake. Afterward, you'll want to look inside to make sure that each chicken wing is perfectly coated.

  6. Step 6

Then you will pour your completely coated chicken wings onto the foil-lined baking dish. Pop the chicken wings in the oven and bake them uncovered for approximately 35 minutes. Ovens vary, so just remember to keep checking on them until they are done - come on, you know when chicken is done cooking. At least I hope so or you'll probably soon be dead or at the least...very sick.

  7. Step 7

After your hot wings have fully cooked you will plate them up and squeeze a little bit of the Sweet Baby Ray's beside them for dipping. Now you can grab a roll of paper towels and eat up!

Tips & Warnings
  • After working with chicken it is always a good idea to use antibacterial spray or Clorox Kitchen Clean up on all surfaces that are touched by the poultry.
  • This is NOT the healthiest meal in the world! You should eat this kind of stuff in extreme moderation, perhaps once a month or so.
  • These wings are good served alongside a generous heaping of french fries. Again, NOT healthy!
