Before you put your gardening plan into action, you should take a close look your garden.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Keep a note where the sunny and shady spots are.

  2. Step 2

    Write what the nice thing about the current landscaping and what the not nice thing about.

  3. Step 3

    Examine the soil, slope and water. Mark the place where the water pools or runs after the rain.

  4. Step 4

    Note the direction and strength of the wind.

  5. Step 5

    Draw a map of the existing plants.

  6. Step 6

    Keep a list of the things you want to add or change to the garden.

  7. Step 7

    Start from the location closer to the house first.

  8. Step 8

    Think long term and prioritize the steps.

  9. Step 9

    Have a list of plants you want in your garden and what they need, sun, soil, water, and ect and group the similiar ones together.

  10. Step 10

    Work hard and consistently.
