Have you ever dreaded taking your child to the doctor because of the temper tantrum they are going to throw as soon as you mention the "D" word? Here are a few things I did with my daughter...

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Patients
  1. Step 1

First you NEVER talk bad about the doctor/dentist. If they hear you talk badly about them, then they will automatically assume they are mean..

  2. Step 2

Whenever they have an appointment get excited...tell them how much fun it will be to see their doctor. If its a dentist appointment tell them how much you wish it was you getting your teeth looked at.

  3. Step 3

Now if they need shots tell them they won't hurt to bad, and that it will all be okay in a few seconds. Of course its always easier said than done. Tell them that they are just trying to help them be healthy, and that is a good thing.

  4. Step 4

After the shot comfort them and tell them its okay...and if your kid is like mine and thinks kisses make everything better, kiss it, and tell them now they will stay healthy because of the nice nurse.

Tips & Warnings
  • I hope this helps you as much as it helped my daughter.
