How to How to Gain the Gloves of Pick Pocketing in "Baldur's Gate 2"
Some of the best loot to be found in the PC role-playing game Baldur's Gate 2 is locked away in chests or drawers. If you have a party composed of characters with less-than-honorable intentions, you can simply pick the locks and steal their contents. Some of the locks are harder to pick than others, however, so you will want a magic item like the Gloves of Pick Pocketing to increase your chances of success.

Leave the dungeon where the party begins the game and go into the city called Athkatla.

Make your way to the section of the city called the Slums District.

Walk into the tavern called the Copper Coronet and go through the door that leads to the upper rooms.

Have one of your thief characters enter the room at the top left, where a man named Yarin is sleeping.

Use the thief's "detect traps" ability to find the blade trap on the nightstand. Disarm the trap, then open the nightstand to find the Gloves of Pick Pocketing. Equip the thief with them to get the most use out of them, as non-thief characters gain no benefit from wearing them.

Tips & Warnings
A thief character who wears the Gloves of Pick Pocketing will have his "pick pocket" skill increased by 20 percent.
