Step 1
Set up a massage at a local massage therapist. Massage has been shown to increase blood flow to the muscles which can relieve some of the minor aches and pains.

Make sure that you have a mattress that feels comfortable. Having too hard of a mattress or too soft can throw your spine out of alignment. Always try to sleep on your side too, as this position offers the best alignment for the spine.

Exercise your lower back muscles by doing lower back raises (also known as the Superman). These exercises can strengthen the muscles of the lower back, helping the spine stay in alignment.
