How to Draw Anime Online
Drawing anime online is much the same as drawing it offline. Drawing online usually allows for more tools and tricks to be used to add effects to pictures. Different online drawing board and sites abound; in most of them you can save your efforts for later viewing. Some online drawing sites also have communities that rate your drawings and give advice on how to improve them. These are great tools for someone wishing to improve their drawing skills in anime. Just be cautious, however, as drawing on the computer frequently can spoil regular drawing for you because of the numerous "cheat" tools that are available online.

1
Go to the online drawing site that you have chosen to use. Log in with your user name and password. Go to the drawing pad. Begin your drawing. Some drawing sites will have a guideline to help you draw supporting lines without them showing up on the final project. This is a great tool for the beginning online artist.

2
Begin drawing the outline of your character. Remember the most important elements of anime characters: big eyes, angled features, crazy hair, and large feet. If you are drawing an anime animal, be sure to use a lot of angled lines for evil creatures and soft curved lines for good creatures.

Begin adding color to your drawing. This is where the online drawing tools are very useful. You can choose almost any color in the world to use on your drawing. Using the "fill" tool is also a great tool to use at this point. Color all of your drawing in basic colors.

4
Use darker and contrasting colors to shade your character. If you are unsure how to shade, usually darker colors go underneath objects, and lighter colors go on top of objects. Pretend there is a sun shining on top of your figure. Color lighter shades where the light would hit and darker shades where the light would not hit.

5
Add background images to your drawing. This can either be done at the very beginning or at the end. Many people choose to just put interesting-looking colors behind a drawing, rather than putting in distracting objects. The choice is up to you. If you want your character to stand out then adding a subdued color to the background would be best.

Tips & Warnings
Look at other people's drawings online. Some sites even allow you to play back how they drew their drawings so that you can learn exactly what they did to get the effects in their drawings. This will help you improve your online drawing skills.
Don't ever abandon offline drawing completely. There is a call for both sets of drawing skills in the business world.
