-
Step 1
Start with the designer-looking dresses that Carrie often sports. While she wears a variety of outfits, her most notable is the ballerina-esque getup she wears in the opening sequence of the TV series. This is easy to mimic. Simply find a bodysuit (sometimes called a leotard) in pink or nude. This will be your top. Then pair it with a tutu-looking skirt on bottom. You can get this look without looking like an actual dancer by starting with a poofy skirt, then adding an additional crinoline underneath.
-
Step 2
Sport some killer high heels in patent leather or a bright color. Carrie's shoes are often a statement unto themselves, so they don't have to match.
-
Step 3
Carry a clutch instead of a regular purse. Carrie often has a purse under her arm instead of on her shoulder.
-
Step 4
Add a "statement" piece. This may be a pair of large, sparkly earrings, a flower pin or a bright scarf--but you want it to be something noticeable.
-
Step 5
Wear light makeup and add a light dot of eyeliner to your chin to ape Sarah Jessica Parker's trademark mole.
-
Step 1
Pick out your most classic, all-American-girl ensemble. This is ideally a preppy-looking dress (like a structured sundress), but can also be khaki crops and a sleeveless polo, an A-line skirt and button-down top, or any other polo-match-ready outfit you can dream of. If you look like something out of a J. Crew catalog, you're on the right track.
-
Step 2
Add a pair of kitten heels or classic Mary Janes. They must match your outfit and be made of a material that isn't too flashy.
-
Step 3
Top off your outfit with pearls and a simple bracelet.
-
Step 4
Slide on a long brown wig with curly ends.
-
Step 5
Apply your makeup naturally, with long lashes. Don't overdo it--Charlotte is a natural beauty!
-
Step 6
Put on a pair of glasses if you want the "studious" Charlotte look.
-
Step 1
Throw on your favorite interview suit, paired with a silk or cotton shirt. Make sure not to button it all the way up though; Miranda is secretly sexy!
-
Step 2
Add on a trendy belt to cinch the jacket, because Miranda is chic, even if she doesn't admit it.
-
Step 3
Wear a pair of classic pumps to complete the lawyerly look.
-
Step 4
Put on a red wig or spray your own hair red, and tuck it under for the short look.
-
Step 5
Make your makeup just a little messy--almost as if you're unsure of how to do it. Complete your look with a red lip to match your hair.
-
Step 1
Pull out the shortest dress you can find. If it's something you normally deem too short or too small, it's perfect for this occasion. Bright colors are best, but animal prints or classic black and red will also do.
-
Step 2
Put on the highest heels you can find, with the sharpest toe. These don't have to match the dress, but the bolder they are, the better.
-
Step 3
Add a big, flashy pair of earrings or necklace to make a statement.
-
Step 4
Put on a faux fur stole or other bold throw to keep you warm.
-
Step 5
Make your makeup brazen. Concentrate on creating a smoky, seductive eye and a bold lip.
-
Step 6
Complete your look with a blond, slightly shaggy wig of about shoulder length.
