Step 1
Park your vehicle and walk to the Old Globe. Buy tickets for an evening performance of a Shakespeare play. Old Globe is an authentic reproduction of the original on the Thames. Before every performance there are usually Elizabethan performers entertaining the arriving patrons.

Step 2
Check out Cabrillo Bridge after buying the tickets. The bridge is a San Diego landmark, a beautiful structure almost 100 years old. It is located just to the west of the Old Globe Theater.

Step 3
Go to El Prado and visit San Diego's Museum of Man. It has fascinating archeological exhibits from the early caveman to present-day indigenous people.

Step 4
Stroll eastward on El Prado. This is museum row, with over twelve museums all within walking distance. One could spend the entire day seeing the museum exhibits.

Relax at the Plaza for a few moments, and note that on the southeastern corner of the Plaza is the Visitor Center. Stop there to discover any new seasonal events happening at the park.

Continue east on El Prado and take the first left into a corridor that leads to the Lily Pond. The Botanical Garden is just beyond the Lily Pond.

Visit the Botanical Garden, a massive greenhouse consumed in color and beauty.

Return to El Prado and visit the Model Railroad Museum. A fascinating display of craftsmanship and a commitment to detail in miniature make the museum a must-see.

Enter the courtyard and visit the Science Museum to the right and then the Natural History Museum on the left.

Continue north past the Natural History Museum and ride the carousel and the miniature railroad. There is also a quaint Spanish Village to visit.
