How to Use Lycopodium Homeopathic Tincture

Homeopathy was created by German physician Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843) as a means to help people to heal from emotional states and physical issues.
Today, classical homeopathy has been gaining popularity for the last 30 years. In Europe it has been widely used as an adjunct therapy.
Microextracts made from plants, flowers, herbs and some animals are available as tinctures or pellets and taken under the tongue.
For anxiety and panic attacks, Lycopodium, or club moss is often recommended. Learn more to see if Lycopodium is appropriate for you.

Instructions

    • 1

Observe if you have a tendency to be very fearful of being alone at home. While you might like to keep to yourself, you prefer to have other people at home, in a separate room as that gives you a sense of security.
Lycopodium is often recommended for mild states of anxiety.

    • 2

Notice if you have a somewhat heightened fear of getting ill to the point of almost being a hypochondriac. You might actually really fear any kind of pain of any sort, even minor pain of being sick.
When you do become ill, your gastrointestinal tract is where you manifest your symptoms.

    • 3

Observe if you also fear confrontation of any kind. You might be given a routine evaluation at work, for instance, but it creates such anxiety for you that you find yourself imagining the worst possible outcome, even to an unrealistic scenario of being fired for a minor issue.

    • 4

Evaluate your self-esteem. Those who benefit from Lycopodium may present a very strong façade of confidence and tolerance. As they do not allow themselves to express their full range of emotions, they may actually feel very insecure and have an explosive temper privately.

    • 5

Notice if your physical complaints tend to be on the right side of your body. You may not be sleeping well and when you wake in the morning, you do not feel well-rested. If these symptoms describe how you feel, you might consider Lycopodium.

    • 6

Take Lycopodium as a tincture or as sweetened pellets. As with all homeopathic remedies, it is best taken between meals. Avoid coffee and all mint and mint-related products (such as toothpaste or chewing gum) as they will block the effects of homeopathic remedies.

Tips & Warnings

  • "They must be in charge and in control at all times," says Dr. Randy Martin, Ph.D.,, a certified classical homeopath, who is also a licensed acupuncturist and doctor of Oriental medicine. "Illness offends their self-esteem and they tend to ignore physical infirmities," he says. This remedy is appropriate for people who may be resilient but are very insecure emotionally and lack self-confidence.
