How to Whiten Teeth With a Home Remedy

Teeth whitening products are extremely popular, and therefore extremely expensive. Many of the products have been proven ineffective, so what is a budget conscious consumer to do? There are alternatives to the harsh chemicals of store bought treatments that can be done at home. Give them a try to see which ones work best for you.

  • Orange Peel Strawberries Hydrogen Peroxide Baking Soda Apple Cider Vinegar
  1. Step 1

    Use "Grandma's Home Remedy." Simply take a teaspoon of baking soda and add some vinegar to it. Next, toss on a sprinkle of salt. This creates a paste to brush your teeth with. This home remedy has been extremely popular through the years and is a long time favorite of many.

  2. Step 2

    Rub strawberries on your teeth. A known trick to many top supermodels, strawberries have a property that brings out the whiteness in teeth. Strawberries can be mashed up, or used whole.

  3. Step 3

    Swish with Apple Cider Vinegar once a week. Vinegar is a great whitening agent, but daily exposure can do too much damage to tooth enamel.

  4. Step 4

    Mix baking soda into a mixture of 1/2 part hydrogen peroxide and 1/2 part water. Brush your teeth with this mixture. The key is the hydrogen peroxide, a well known ingredient in most teeth whitening products found in stores.

  5. Step 5

    Rub your teeth with the inside of an orange peel. Another great tip to bring out the shine in one's teeth, and a famous tip of many dentist for a quick teeth whitening remedy.
