2. Check the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP) Registry. Check for cord blood banks that are registered and accept public cord blood donations.

3. Begin the donation process. Confirm that the selected hospital is registered and will cover the cost to collect, test and store the cord blood. If the hospital does not arrange for public blood cord donations, contact the NMDP for a list of hospitals in your area.
