Instructions

    • 1

Feed the mother extra food for the first couple of weeks of the baby hamsters' lives. Make sure that she always has fresh food and water, and that she has enough extra fruits and veggies to make her happy.

    • 2

Begin adding food for the babies when you notice that the baby hamsters are walking around the cage and exploring their food bowl. The babies should have no problem eating the regular hamster diet, so don't take anything out.

    • 3

Add extra food to the hamster dish each day. Fruits like grapes and veggies like carrots or broccoli are excellent choices. Put these in a shallow dish that the babies will be able to reach.

Tips & Warnings

  • Leave babies alone for the first few weeks of their lives. Make sure that there is always plenty of food in the hamster cage at all times.

  • Don't try to feed babies while they are still in the nest.
