Step 1
Start a career and play every song on easy or medium. Once you are getting around 90-95% of the notes on these difficulties, it is time to step it up to the next difficulty.

Step 2
If certain parts are giving you trouble, slow them down in the "training" section. Move through the speeds starting at slowest until you get it. Eventually you'll nail every part.

Step 3
Remember to not tense up your arms or legs when drumming. You will get tired much more quickly than if you keep yourself limber. Eventually, you'll build up more endurance for the tougher songs.
