The popularity of glass baby bottles has grown, largely because of concern about the safety of the chemical known as BPA used in plastic bottles. Glass bottles are becoming easier to find in stores and through online retailers.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Begin a search for baby gear retailers in your area. Using an Internet search engine or phone listing website, conduct a search for baby products. Alternatively, you can use a yellow pages directory to find retailers.

  2. Step 2

If there is a major chain retailer that sells baby products near your location, check to see if the store has a website. To save time should the store not carry any glass baby bottles, search the store's website for the bottles. There are several brand name manufacturers that make glass bottles, which larger retailers carry. Babies R Us, a major retailer, carries several brands of glass baby bottles. Products can also be ordered from their website.

  3. Step 3

If you find the store does carry the bottles, you're all set. If you can't find a store that sells them in your area either through an Internet or phone book search, conduct a general Internet search by typing "glass baby bottles" into a search engine. The search should turn up numerous links, including many to online retailers you can order the bottles from. You can also read about what others have said about certain brands of bottles before you buy by searching for "glass baby bottle reviews." Nextag.com is one such website that includes reviews of different brands, prices and where to buy information.

  4. Step 4

Lastly, if you're still having trouble finding glass baby bottles, seek out a local moms' or recycling/green-themed group in your area. Other parents are often the best source of information about childrens' products. Alternatively, recycling groups such as Freecycle often include members who are in-the-know about products that are better for one's health and the environment. Find a local Freecycle group by going to http://groups.yahoo.com.
