There are times when a person may make a decision to get a tattoo out of a rush of emotion. This can happen when they first fall in love or because they just want to spite their parents who told them not to get the tattoo. Later on they end up regretting the choice and need a way to cover the tattoo up. Others enjoy their tattoos, but choose to cover them up when attending a wedding or formal event. Either way there are some things you can do to temporarily cover up your tattoo.

1. Apply Tattoo Camo. This is a product made to conceal your tattoo. It is one of the best products on the market. It costs $45.95 and will work on even the darkest of tattoos. It is easy to apply and dries relatively fast. It is even water proof so you won't have to worry about it coming off if you get caught out in the rain.

2. Wear long clothing. If you have a tattoo on your arm you need to hide for whatever reason you can just wear a long sleeved shirt. The same goes if you have a tattoo on your legs. You just wear long pants. The only place you can't hide a tattoo with clothing is your face. You can hide your neck with a scarf.

3. Get a bigger tattoo over it. There are tattoo cover ups that are just bigger tattoos drawn over the smaller one. This may be to cover up an old lover's name or just to cover up a tattoo you don't like any more. It has become extremely popular and this option is often chosen more than getting rid of the tattoo altogether.

5. Experiment with your facial make-up. The only problem with the make-up you use for your face is that it is not waterproof. It can still work if you only need it for a short period of time. You of course need to start with a base cover up that is the same as your skin tone. You can add your own skin colored powder on top. You may need to play around with the make-up and even apply a second coat, but it can be done.
