How to Eject a DVD From a Mac Mini

The Mac mini is one of Apple's innovative small inventions. It makes for a great compact notebook for those on the go. Like any laptop or computer, problems may arise and a little troubleshooting may be needed. If you are a new user and trying to learn about your new Mac mini or are running into problems trying to eject a disc from your Mac mini, this is a guide to help troubleshoot your issue.

Instructions

1. Clear the area around your Mac mini. If anything is on top of the Mac mini, remove these items as they may cause it to not work properly.

2. If you are running any programs that use the disc you are trying to eject, quit the programs.

3. Know that on the keyboard, there is a designated key for ejecting discs. It is the (C) button. Press this to eject the disc. If it is not an Apple keyboard, the F12 button may be used.

4. If your disc will still not eject, then click beside the CD icon and press the (C) eject button at the same time.

5. If this still does not work, drag the CD icon to the trash can icon on your desktop.

6. Lastly, try to eject your disc by restarting your computer and hold down the mouse button at the same time.

• The Mac mini can only use standard size discs, so do not insert any small or abnormal size discs.
