Bangalore's booming corporate industry is bringing business travelers to the city in droves. To accommodate the influx of out-of-town travelers, many resources have become available for quickly and easily renting laptops for business or personal use. To rent a laptop in Bangalore, follow these steps.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Determine all the hardware and software tools you will require while on your trip. Specialty programs such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Photoshop may not be available at all rental companies. Knowing your needs will help you get accurate price quotes and facilitate the comparison process.

  2. Step 2

Call your hotel to find out if it offers laptop rental services. Many business hotels in Bangalore have laptops on hand. These laptops are usually rented by the hour.

  3. Step 3

Research Bangalore laptop rental companies online. A number of businesses offer computer rental services to the greater Bangalore area (see Resources below). A majority cater to English-speaking travelers.

  4. Step 4

Compare price quotes. Most rental companies provide rental prices on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. After comparing price, availability and proximity to your hotel, choose the company that best fits your needs.

  5. Step 5

Complete the rental reservation process. In Bangalore, this typically includes completing a rental agreement and making a down payment. A credit check may also be required. The process can often be completed online, via phone or in person.

  6. Step 6

Acquire your rented laptop computer. Arrive at the rental company on time on the agreed-upon date to ensure minimal hassles. If you are unable to pick up your laptop at the chosen date, notify the rental company.

  7. Step 7

Return the laptop in accordance to the rental agreement. Dropping off your rented laptop late may result in a penalty fee.

Tips & Warnings
  • Plan ahead and rent your laptop prior to leaving for India. This will ensure that you reserve the right laptop for your needs and may reduce the overall cost. Copy all rental documents and keep them with you to avoid potential mix-ups or overcharges.
