How to Add Spaces in Mac OS Leopard

With the latest release of Apple's Mac OS X operating system, also known as Leopard, users can create multiple virtual desktops and assign different programs and windows to them. This gives Mac users more desktop space to work with. Up to 16 virtual desktops can be created with Spaces, and then users can seamlessly flip back and forth between them.       Open "System Preferences" by clicking on the dock icon.

      Go to the "Expose & Spaces" control panel under the "Personal" category.
