Creating a Balloon Bouquet
Create a balloon bouquet for a child's birthday, an anniversary or even a baby shower. Balloon bouquets are a festive way to celebrate instead of sending flowers.
Use a candy as a weight to hold down the bouquet so it doesn't float away. Turn your balloon bouquet into a whimsical centerpiece for any kind of party.

1
Cut pieces of the ribbon into approximately 24 inch pieces. Cut as many pieces of ribbon for the number of balloons you are using. The length of the ribbon will depend on how high you want the balloons to be.
Cut shorter pieces of ribbon if making a centerpiece out of the bouquet. Tie the ribbons to the ends of the balloons leaving a six-inch tail of ribbon. Curl the ribbon tail with the scissors. -
2
Place a piece of tissue paper inside the Chinese takeout box. Add the candy to the box. Close the box. Add anything you like to the box such as a small gift. If what you add is not very heavy add something along with it to give a little weight to the box. This is what will hold the balloons down.

3
Gather together the ends of the ribbons hanging down from the balloons. Vary the height of the balloons so some are lower than others and some higher. Make a knot about six inches from the end of the ribbons.
-
4
Tie the ends of the ribbons to the wire handle on the Chinese takeout box. If the box doesn't have a wire handle, make a hole with a hole punch on each end of the box. Thread a ribbon end through each hole to the inside. Make a knot on the inside of the box to hold the ribbon.
-
5
Write your message on the gift card and hole punch one corner. Tie the gift card to the balloon bouquet by threading the card onto one of the ribbon tails near the top of the balloons.
