Facebook is evolving, and they are forcing their members to evolve with them. In the past month they launched their new interface, very different from the original site. Users are having to quickly learn the ropes of the new Facebook, which can be hard if you are quickly signing on to check out your wall or add a status. The goal of the new Facebook is to be more user-friendly, and soon you will find yourself adjusting to all of the changes.

      Log onto your Facebook account. The main content on the homepage is now the news feed, which you can quickly peruse to see what's up with your favorite people. Status changes, new photo albums and personal updates are shown in this section. The new Facebook relies heavily on tabs much like your favorite Web browser. Most of the information on Facebook is now hidden in these tabs. On the homepage you can click on the tabs to alter the feed. So instead of seeing news you can only see status updates or photos. The tabs are located right above the beginning of the feed. Also located above the news feed is the status update box, so you can quickly let your friends know you are taking a nap at work.

      Open your applications. The applications window is no located on the right side of the screen. Your applications include photos, groups and any new applications you added to your profile such as growing gifts. You can quickly access them right on the homepage. The large box on the right side of the screen that also houses birthday reminders and upcoming events. You can also add friends to your account using the people you may know tool located in this box.

      View your profile. To access your profile you need to click the "Profile" link on the top of the homepage. The first thing you will see on your profile is your wall. This is the first tab in the profile window, which contains comments by your friends and anything you have posted recently to your profile. Your info is located in the next tab, so you can find all of those movies you spent two hours listing. The next tab is for photos and photo albums. Application features such as growing gifts are located in the boxes tab. You can find and upkeep your green patch. Update your information by clicking on the settings link on the top right of every page.

      Read your messages. Your messages are located on the top of the homepage labeled "Inbox." From the inbox you can send messengers to your friends and read new messages from your favorite groups. The inbox will have a number next to it for every new and unread message.

      Check out your friends' profiles. Click on the "Friend" link at the top of the page to view your recently updated friends pages. From here you can also search for new or existing friends. Their pages are oriented in the same way as your profile page, so the first thing you will see is their wall, and you will need to click over to the other tabs to see their info or check out their photos.
