How to Make your Own Baby Rattle

Children love things that rattle and make noise. They also love things that belong to the adults of the household. Combine these interests by creating your own baby rattle out of your baby's favorite forbidden shaker, from pill bottles to soda bottles.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Empty bottle Cheerios Superglue
  1. Step 1

    Clean your empty bottle and let it dry.

  2. Step 2

    Fill your empty bottle about an eighth or less full of a dissolvable cereal like Cheerios.

  3. Step 3

    Apply superglue to the rim of the bottle and attach the cap.

  4. Step 4

    Let the glue dry overnight before you give the new rattle to your baby.

  5. Step 5

    Mark the bottle in a special way so that you will know at a glance which bottle belongs to baby.

Tips & Warnings
  • Only use bottles with caps that are too large for baby to swallow, just in case.
