How to Have a School Fundraiser for Home Schooled Children

Schools and PTAs gather millions of dollars every year through fund raisers for various projects. Home schooling and/or virtual schooling can be very expensive for the parent, since they are responsible for many of the materials normally provided by the school or school district, such as ink for printers and paper. If you are a parent of a student who is home- schooled or a attends a virtual school you can have your student participate in fund-raising activities to help with the cost.

Instructions

1. Contact NPC International at [phone] and tell them you would like to participate in the fundraising program. NPC International owns over 800 Pizza Hut stores in 27 states and offers fundraising cards, which are sold for $10 with the group or organization (in this case the student) keeping $6 from every card sold.

2. Provide NPC International with your group or organization's name. For a home- or virtual-schooled student it should be the name of the student home-schooling project. Give the NPC International representative your mailing address and the quantity of cards you would like to sell.

3. Sign the contract and fill out its information and return it to NPC International.

4. Sell the cards when you receive them, return $4 of every card sold and any unsold cards to NPC International. Put the money raised towards supplies for school.

Tips & Warnings

• Check with friends, neighbors and/or relatives to gauge their interest in purchasing the cards, and order the appropriate number of cards. You can order as few as 10 cards to start and more when the first set are sold.
• Go with your child when selling the cards, and only go to familiar areas. Do not let children sell cards door-to-door without an adult accompanying them.
