Wear a belt. Choose a leather belt with a silver belt buckle. The belt can be either brown or black. Wear the belt with the jeans, but not the skirt.

3
Wear a Western shirt. Choose a button-up shirt, leaving the top button undone, with a pattern such as plaid, or just stick with a plain white shirt. Tuck the shirt into the jeans or skirt.

4
Wear a black or brown vest. The vest should be worn over the Western shirt. To enhance the cowgirl costume, choose a vest with fringe on the bottom. The vest should be brown or black in color.

5
Wear a red bandana. Tie the bandana around your neck, with the tied part at the back of your neck and the longer part of the bandana at the front. Tuck the bottom of the bandana into your shirt.

6
Wear a cowboy hat. Choose a wide-brimmed cowboy hat that is brown, black or white. Wear your hair in pigtails under the hat.
-
7
Wear a pair of boots. Choose boots that are either brown or black. Wear the boots under the jeans.

Keep makeup simple. Wear foundation, concealer and powder. Apply natural-looking blush. Shape eyebrows and, if needed, apply eyebrow powder. Wear eye shadow, eye liner and mascara. For the final touch, add some lip gloss. Remember, you want to look natural and beautiful, so don't overdo it on the makeup.

Tips & Warnings
To save money on the cowgirl costume, check out local thrift stores and online. If it is cold outside and your shirt is short-sleeved, consider wearing a jacket with fringe at the bottom in the place of the vest. Learn a few country dance moves in case there is country music and dancing at any Halloween parties you may be attending.
If you are dressed in dark colors and will be trick or treating, watch out for cars because it may be hard for them to see you in the dark.
