How to Repair a Porcelain Toilet
So you want to know how to repair a porcelain toilet. The problem with toilets is if you somehow manage to put a small crack in the tank, it'll generally leak all over the place and your plumber will want to charge you an arm and a leg to get a new one. Turn off the water to the toilet by using the knobs underneath it.

Flush the toilet and allow all the water to drain out.

Clean the area around the crack, both inside and out, with a wet paper towel.

Allow the toilet to dry.

Generously squeeze the caulk onto the crack.

Allow the caulk to dry.

Scrape the surplus caulk off.

Caulk the crack again in the same places, but this time push the caulk down and spread it around a bit more.

Allow the caulk to dry.
