How to Use Home Remedies to Treat Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Carpal tunnel syndrome is a pain in wrists and hands, and can be caused by many things. Typing too much on the computer or typewriter, writing too much with a pen or pencil, severe trauma to the wrist and basically using your wrist too much can all be causes of carpal tunnel syndrome. The symptoms include a numb and tingly feeling, like your wrist is falling asleep, and severe pain that causes you to stop what you are doing. Here are some ways to ease the pain at home using simple, yet effective home remedies.

1
Do hand exercises every day to ease the pain. Keep the tendons loose, the blood flowing to the wrist and strengthen muscles. Good hand exercises to do every day are wrist circles, thumb stretches, five-finger stretches and finger-thumb squeezes.

2
Do wrist exercises. Wrist exercises will require small weights. These exercises include palm-up wrist curls, palm-down wrist curls and arm curls.

Take vitamin B every day. A vitamin B deficiency can make it more likely for someone to get carpal tunnel. Around 100 mg of vitamin B, specifically B6, can reduce the cause of carpal tunnel syndrome for those who use their wrists and hands a lot.

Wear gloves to keep your hands and wrists warm. Keeping your hands and wrists warm will keep the blood flowing and keep your wrist from tingling. If you work with a keyboard every day, wear gloves without the fingers to keep your hands and wrists warm while typing.

Use a wrist splint while working or even when you are not working. A wrist splint can keep you from bending your wrist in ways that will make the pain worse. It can be worn all day long, and are available at drug stores or medical supply stores. Check with your doctor to make sure the splint fits properly--you don't want it to be too tight.

Take a daily dose of 250 to 1,000 mg of pineapple in supplement form in between meals. Pineapple has anti-inflammatory properties that can relieve joint pain.
