Instructions

    • 1

Cut two squares of cheese cloth, about 5 inches each. Place one on top of the other for a double layer.

    • 2

Place some basil leaves, sage and rosemary into the cheese cloth. Gather it up and tie it off with a string or rubber band.

    • 3

Fill a clean tub with comfortably warm water. Place the herbal sachet into the bathtub so that the herbs will infuse with the water.

    • 4

Set the mood in the bathroom if you like. Light candles, burn incense and play some soft, relaxing music that you find uplifting. Bring your lavender oil and washcloth or sponge with you and keep it within reach.

    • 5

Shut the water and step into the tub. Sit back and relax. Take a few deep breaths of the scented water and meditate for a while. Envision all of the stress in your body. It may look like black flack or sludge with a dark, unpleasant color. Envision the water leaching the stress right out of your body.

    • 6

Unstop the water and allow it to drain out all around you when you're ready to finish. Envision all of your negativity going down the drain with it. Start a shower and wash the last bits of it away with soap and shampoo.

Take your washcloth or sponge and add a few drops of lavender oil to it. Rub yourself down with the oil to further relax you and bring a good night's sleep. By the time you dry off, you should feel lighter and at peace.
