How to Plan a Theme Bridal Shower
Planning a themed bridal shower is a fun way to make sure that the bride gets gifts for a specific room in the house or of a specific type. It can also make the planning process easier for the hostess, as it gives her a place to start when choosing games, decorations and other activities for the shower.

1
Talk to the bride and determine her needs. With so many couples waiting until they have been out on their own for several years before they decide to get married, many couples do not need all the traditional wedding presents. Ask the bride if she has a specific type of gift that she is hoping to get. One great theme idea might be a bed and bath themed bridal shower, concentrating on gifts involving those two rooms.

2
Choose invitations that match the theme of the party. A toaster might be appropriate for a kitchen themed shower and a towel might be an option. Then, make sure that the theme is listed clearly on the invitations along with the places that the bride is registered.

Search wedding sites and bridal books to find games that fall in with the theme. While some bridal shower standards are always fun, one great idea for a bed and bath shower is the toilet paper wedding gown game. Have the party guests divide into pairs, with one being the model and one being the dress designer. Then, give them 10 minutes and 2 rolls of toilet paper to design a wedding dress. Let the bride be the judge and give a prize to the team that makes her favorite dress.

4
Plan the prizes to tie in to your theme. Choose scented bath oils for the bed and bath themed party or a nifty kitchen gadget for a kitchen themed party.

5
Call guests the week before the party and remind them of the theme and get a final head count to know who is coming and who isn't.
