Things You'll Need:
- Green sequins Red sequins Gold sequins Brown sequins Straight pins Lighter Pillar candle Red velvet bow Pencil
-
Step 1
Draw a Christmas tree on the pillar candle. Make it large and simply shaped. A tall triangle with a rectangular trunk works best. Draw lines for garland and dots where you want ornaments. The pencil will make slight indentations in the candle but will not leave dark marks.
-
Step 2
Use red sequins to cover the garland lines and gold sequins as the ornaments. Secure the sequins by pinning them into place with the straight pins. Stick the pin through the hole in the center of the sequin and into the candle. The head of the pin will hold the sequin in place. If you have trouble getting the pin into the candle, heat the tip of the pin with the lighter.
-
Step 3
Fill in the rest of the triangle with the green sequins and the rectangular trunk with brown sequins. Pin these on with straight pins also. At this point, you will begin to see your tree taking shape.
-
Step 4
Top your tree with a gold sequin or the red velvet bow. Use a pin to hold the tree topper in place. If you use the bow, then pin the "ears" flat against the candle also. Now you have created a one-of-a-kind gift for a friend or loved one.
