DVD collectors do much more than buy the latest releases. They search online and find limited sets, rare editions and the best values for their dollar. When creating a DVD themed stocking for a DVD collector, you can fill the stocking with much more than just DVDs. Some of the items may even be more exciting than an actual DVD itself!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Purchase movie memorabilia to help compliment their collection. A lot of DVD collectors put their large collection on display, which can look even better if it is surrounded by memorabilia from the movies. Great items include mini-posters, figurines and snow globes.

  2. Step 2

Create a custom DVD cover ornament. The best way to create this is by taking two blank DVD-R discs and super gluing the labeled sides together so that they are even. Then string through either red or green yard and tie a loop at the top, and you have a DVD Christmas ornament that would make a great stocking stuffer. Use glitter glue to write something on the discs for an extra nice touch.

  3. Step 3

Get a small DVD cleaning kit. No matter how much care goes into a collection, accidents happen and DVDs can get dirty or scratched. A small DVD cleaning kit will help clean away the mess and make the DVD discs fully playable once again.

  4. Step 4

Help DVD collectors manage their collection by stuffing the stocking with maintenance items like Goo Gone and empty DVD cases. Goo Gone helps get rid of any retail stickers that may be stuck to a DVD case (see Resources below).

  5. Step 5

Purchase DVDs for the collector if there is nothing else you can fill the stocking with. Make sure the person does not already own the DVD. If you are concerned about purchasing a repeat copy, purchase a gift certificate to a popular DVD retailer like F.Y.E or Best Buy.
