A candle will remind your loved ones of a special occasion for years to come.

A beautiful candle is a wonderful way to celebrate any religious occasion. Not only can it light the ceremony or festive meal, but you can then display it and even burn it repeatedly for years to come in commemoration of the event. This distinct, celebratory item makes an appropriate gift that can be treasured years after the event is over.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Thick pillar candle Silver and gold sequins Small, decorative rosebuds Straight pins Lighter (optional)
  1. Step 1

Wipe down a thick pillar candle with a damp paper towel to remove any dust or dirt from the surface.

  2. Step 2

Make a cross out of gold sequins on the side of the candle, then outline it in silver sequins. Push a straight pin through the central hole in each sequin and into the candle. The head of the pin will hold the sequin in place. If you have trouble pushing the pin into the candle, heat the pin with a lighter for a few seconds. Only heat the tip so that you do not burn your fingers.

  3. Step 3

Pin small, decorative rosebuds onto the candle. Most people place them toward the foot of the cross. Use the straight pins to hold the flowers firmly in place. You will need between 1 and 5 pins depending on how elaborate your flowers are and how flat you want them to be against the candle.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use decals to put the date or the recipient's name on the candle.
