To lock the bowl, align the base with the bowl and turn it clockwise until it locks into place. The handle of the bowl should be in the front directly over the control switch. To attach the lid place your thumb on the lid tab and twist it clockwise. Four marks are provided to help you position the lid properly including one on the bowl, one on the handle, and two on the bowl lid.

Review the control options. The food processing control switch is located on the front of the unit's base. There are four speed settings to choose from. When the control is on 0 it is off. The 1 and 2 settings are for processing at a lower speed. The 3 and 4 options are for high speed. To perform short quick processing you can use the pulse option by turning the switch to the left. If the processor does not work when you turn the controls check the bowl and lid to make sure they are locked in place and that the top of the shoot is closed.

Choose the processing method. There are several options for processing your foods. You can use the chopping and mixing blade to coarsely chop, finely mince, mix, or puree food to a smooth consistency. The Slicer and Shredder disc has a slicer on one side and a shredder on the other. You can use it to slice, shred or julienne your food items. To slice or shred cheese, select firm cheese like Cheddar, Monterey Jack or Swiss and place it in the freezer for 30 minutes before processing.

Process the food. To begin processing make sure the control switch is turned to 0 and the unit is unplugged. Once the bowl, lid and processing blade are locked into place you can start working on your food items. To slice or shred large foods open the food chute lid, depress the food holder to the right, insert your food into the chute and lock the lid. To use the chopping and mixing blade place your food in the bowl, lock the lid into place, insert the food pusher into the chute, and begin processing. Most foods take only seconds to process. If you have run your processor continually for two minutes let it rest for four minutes before continuing.

Clean and store the unit. Once you have completed processing your food wash the bowl, lid, blades, removable drive sleeve, food pusher and discs in hot soapy water. Rinse and dry them thoroughly. Then wipe the base, control panel and cord with a damp cloth. Do not store the unit with the lid in the locked position or it could put strain on the interlock tab.
