Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to the Pandora website at pandora.com to sign up for a free online account (see link in Resources below).

  2. Step 2

Complete the short online application form with your email address, chosen password, birth year, zip code and gender. Check the box that reads "I have read, understood, and agree to the Terms of Use." Click the "Continue" button.

  3. Step 3

If you are not automatically directed to your account, then go to Pandora.com and click on the top link that reads "Sign In." Fill in your email address and password you listed in Step 2 above and click the "Sign In" button.

  4. Step 4

Click on the button that reads "Create a New Station." Then type in the artist name or song that you like and click the "create" button. Pandora will create an online radio station that features artists and music similar to your choice. To listen, click on the new artist/song button you created, which will appear on the left side.

  5. Step 5

Alternatively, you can choose by music genre. In the middle of the screen, there are tabs that read "Your Profile" and "Bookmarked Songs." Directly underneath the "Your Profile" tab, there is an icon picture of a music note. Put your mouse pointer over the icon so a submenu pops up. Select and click the "Genre Stations" option and choose a genre category and click on your favorite type of music. A radio station of that genre will be added to your list on the left.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use the buttons above and below the album cover to pause the music and raise or lower the volume. You can click to give a song a thumbs up or thumbs down so Pandora will remember your favorite music.
