How to Set and Attain Goals With Ease
Goal setting is an important part of figuring out what is important in your life and how to get it. From the personal to professional, goals give you a focal point for achievement. However, setting goals and attaining them may not always be as easy as it looks. For example, it can be tricky to narrow your end desires into one set of goals or you may have trouble staying focused on your goals to meet them. There are, however, a few tips you can keep in mind that will allow you to set and attain goals with ease.

1
Create a list of the short-term goals that are most important to you. If you try to set too many goals at one time, you may have a harder time reaching them because you don't know where to focus first. To avoid this situation, list only two or three at a time, incorporating a mix of professional and personal, and work to achieve those goals before setting new ones.

2
Identify one or two long-range goals as well. These are goals toward which you can make small leaps of progress while working on completing your short-term goals. Understand what long-range goals are when setting them. Long-range goals aren't things like paying bills a month ahead or completing a project at work; instead, they include ideas like purchasing a house or paying off your car.

3
Draft an action plan to achieving your goals. This involves more than just "get a high-paying job for financial stability." An action plan lays out exactly how you plan to achieve each goal, from where you are right now to every step you need to take to get where you are going. Include detailed actions that must be taken in a certain order to accomplish each goal on your list.

4
Identify potential roadblocks. This is where achieving goals turns into achieving goals with ease. If you can anticipate certain pitfalls, then you know just what to avoid. Be thorough about identifying anything that might stand in your way and come up with solutions to each issue.
-
5
Set realistic goals in order to achieve them with ease. You can't set a goal to become a multi-millionaire in six months and expect to achieve that goal with ease (at least without coming into instant money). You goals don't need to be easy per se, but they do need to be achievable.
-
6
Set your plan in motion. Complete a task each day that contributes to your short-term goals and a weekly task that contributes to your long-term goals. Don't be deterred if you fall off track for some reason; simply work on it again the next day.

7
Update your goals list regularly. You may find that your career path changes or you take a different turn in your personal life and your goals change accordingly. Refer back to your list periodically and re-prioritize your goals according to which goals you want to accomplish the fastest. Perhaps you originally wanted to accomplish the first goal on your list, but now after getting further in the process, you find that it is more important to accomplish the third or fourth. If this is the case, revise your goal list accordingly.
